Below is a FULL LIST of Road Closures/Road Construction in the Township during the 2018 Construction Season

September 10, 2018 - Sexton Road - Curran Contractors has requested a road closure on Sexton Road between Katesville Drive and Murphy Drive in order to repair Sun Canadian Pipeline in this area.  This closure will be in effect from Monday, September 17, 2018 until Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

Alternative Access
There is one address affected by this closure.  4870 Sexton Road will be accessed from Katesville Drive.

Resident(s) in this area will be notified by the Township.

September 10, 2018 - Pike Road - CN Rail has requested a road closure on Pike Road between Napperton Drive and Melbourne Road as CN Rail does repair work to the railroad tracks on Pike Road.  This closure will be in effect from Tuesday, September 25 at 7am to Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 5pm.

Alternative Access
Residents living at 27786 Pike Road and south of this address will have access off Melbourne Road.

Residents living at 27900 Pike Road and 27925 Pike Road and north of these addresses will have access off Napperton Drive.

Residents in this area will be notified by the Township.

June 28, 2018 - The Township will be hard surfacing Scotchmere Drive from Thames Road to Melbourne Road.

Tentative start date will be July 9, 2018 with an estimated completion date of September 30, 2018.

Scotchmere Drive will have short term complete road closures at different times and locations. Signage will direct traffic to avoid the construction. All residents will have access to their property.

June 28, 2018 - The Township will be reconstructing Walkers Drive from Thames Road to Dundonald Road.

Tentative start date will be July 16, 2018 with an estimated completion date of November 3, 2018.

Walkers Drive will have short term complete road closures at different times and locations. Signage will direct traffic and all residents will have access to their property. While construction activities are taking place, "Men Working" signs will be in place and "Local Traffic Only" signs ...will be up to warn traffic.

A public Open House is scheduled for Monday, July 9, 2018 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at the municipal office. Information regarding the construction process and scope of the work being proposed will be available for review. Public Works Manager Jeff Little will be in attendance to discuss details of the proposed construction.

June 28, 2018 - Township of Adelaide Metcalfe Logo

Adelaide Metcalfe – Following a Township wide survey conducted in 2017, the Council of the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe has adopted a new logo. The survey results indicated that many residents favoured a change to a more modern identity for the Township.
"The progressive decision by Council to modernize our Township image is vital," says Mayor Smith, "updating the Township logo is the first step in the branding strategy of the Strategic Plan".
The original Township crest was designed in 2001 as part of the amalgamation of the former Townships of Adelaide and Metcalfe. The new logo was created as a tribute to elements of the original crest with emphasis on the strength of the unified Adelaide Metcalfe.
Council will roll out the new logo this summer. The $30,000 donation received through the ‘Mar for Mayors’ program will be used to update the welcome signs into the Township and for the installation of community signs such as Buttery Creek and Kerwood.
