The Township of Adelaide Metcalfe is providing notice to the public and to any potential legal heirs regarding the property known as Crathie Hall, legally described as Part of Lot 22, Concession 2, North of Egremont Drive, in the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe, County of Middlesex, and municipally known as 3533 Crathie Drive.
The Council of Adelaide Metcalfe is advising the public that the property known as Crathie Hall, is no longer being used as a community hall and the Township does not intend to use the property for a community hall in the future.
When the Township was originally donated the land in 1922, the property was to be used only as a community hall. As the building has not been used as a community hall for several years, the Township is now taking steps to formally declare the property surplus to the needs of the Township.
Declaring the property surplus is the first step in the process to transfer or dispose of the property in accordance with the Township’s Sale and Other Disposition of Land By-law (By-law 35 of 2025).
The Township is also notifying individuals who may have interest in the property to contact the Township.
